You get disentangled when you don’t resist the flow and completely surrender your will to God.

Reading and interpreting the bible is highly personalized. It is best not to try to interpret but just let the words flow and let them do their thing. Read the bible like a baby. This is one funny idea to get rid of your baggage and intellectual queries. The bible is not meant to be interpreted by humans because it came from a supernatural inspiration beyond human intelligence to which understanding is made possible through discernment alone. As explained it has its own amazing configuration molding lives depending on the day to day choices the owners of those lives make as they stand in the crossroads of their lives. The rich man’s search for meaning

The global trend is on – rich getting richer faster, much faster than anticipated! A poor man’s travails in time would note the increasing gap between the rich and the poor hitting an all time high record in any nation’s economy. Such disparity was obviously promoted by globalization, technical advances which had driven out the less skilled workers out of the competition, education and several opportunities only a rich man’s pocket can afford.

We all have the same basic needs. Rich and poor alike need food, clothing and shelter. Meeting these needs differs only with the quality and quantity in which the rich man obviously can do better and even more for that matter. However there is one common thing a rich man and a poor man shares – the search for meaning! What do you live for?

Have you ever heard stories of world’s wealthiest people reaching out to the poorest giving out their riches for no apparent reason at all? Have you ever wondered what kind of satisfaction these people get out of giving what they had strive hard in life to get? Have you ever notice why some people who after reaching the top wouldn’t want to climb higher anymore but instead go down and shove their riches to find meaning? It is because emptiness is like a disease and the only cure is sharing with empathy in full compassion with others.

Man thirsts for something undefined at first. And as he starts his journey from his mind to his heart he will unfold a lot of virtues and sees a lot of things only a man who travels in the same path is able to see. The road to riches is not the smell of money. Money demonetizes with change but finding the real truth enriches your person and keeps one from downgrading self to the literal description of an animal. What keeps one tied to reason that cannot be justified by scholars and the intelligent few? Who gave us the wisdom and the heart to live life like a poor man and a rich man?

He is the only constant force amidst this ever changing high pace world. The rich man’s search for meaning is a change from reading business graphs and trends to reading a simple worded bible. It is a dire change from a corporate world crowded with computers, systems and technology to a quite life alone. Read the bible without thinking but just kept on listening. The bible is the gateway to finding Him who already finds us. The bible is the simplest book in the world that has the strongest influence in our hearts that can beat up the reasons of our minds. We find our meaning by the words that He had written in that simple book. The bible opens everything, change man by its own force and lead us to find what we seek for – our very own self, our meaning and the truth!

Beware: bacteria that eats flesh

A drug resistant flesh eating bacteria is spreading. This is called MRSA or methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus. Research suggests that the disease was spreading through the homosexual community. A team of investigators were tracking the rise through the number of infections from drug-resistant staph germs. Emergency department visits due to MRSA rose from 1.2 million in 1993 to 3.4 million in 2005. This is said to be the number one cause of abscesses in healthy emergency room patients. MRSA is typically through skin to skin contact. There is no suggestion however that it was a sexually transmitted disease. This is really a matter of simple hygiene. If you notice any infection you should see a doctor immediately. Please do not take anything for granted.

Let me tell you a sad story. In October 2006, my officemate Teddy Chua discovered a lump in the right side of my neck. That lump happens to be a lymphangioma. It was a kind of lymph node but not cancerous. His transfer saved my life but it was a great sacrifice for him because he lived far the new branch assignment. What are the lessons we learn from the story? Sometimes there are sacrifices we bear that saves lives. We just don’t know it but yes it was a great sacrifice on his part too. Everything happens for a reason. I did not experienced any symptoms with the lymph nodes. It was nothing for me that I took for granted when I found out through him. I was not aware it was growing. He kept on pushing me to go to the doctor because he was fully aware of the negative consequence of the growing lymph node. I took it for granted but sense that it is some kind of urgency that the roots of the growing lymph node will be extracted. The doctors were extra careful with my feelings and they scheduled the operation immediately. I was operated March 28, 2007. I retired June 2007 because of my herniated discs and of the pain that I sometimes feel at my neck.

My second story was also an officemate who died about four or five months ago, maybe October or November 2007. The disease was the same. Earl was not aware of the growing lymph node at his chest. Maybe he took it for granted like mine. He only went to the doctor when he found it impossible to breathe even if he walks at little distances. Earl had an operation immediately and a week after that went into chemo therapy. That was the story I got. But he went home to his father and died there. It was sad losing him.

Never take anything for granted. When you see any infection even if it is just a small bulge, please see your doctor immediately.

Wonder why patience should be use against force? People who uses force prides themselves of their strength and their ability to dominate because of it. Patience uses time and intellect to combat the force behind the force. What does it mean? Know the strength and know the weaknesses. Be patient and pray for guidance. Deal with yourself and deal with time. Don't take the challenge immediately. As much as you can avoid violence, please avoid it. But if with some events that you really need to retaliate know that you have to ask God to guide you how to do it without force and without violence. Who's fault was it?

Bank accidentally gives man $2million and then sued man for larceny charges. Is this fair?

It is bank practice to verify signature before withdrawal especially when it comes to millions already. Here in the Philippines it is our practice to hold the money and the client as much as possible. So we try to offer them better rates first and of course offer other products. When we verify signatures, we always have to check everything and maybe get some IDs to update if signature differs a lot.

I was surprised to read that they offered the man to make the withdrawal and insist he got that much deposit. Confidentiality and as a matter of precautionary measure, if the client does not remember nor understand what an officer of the bank is talking about then maybe one should think twice before offering the withdrawal. For sure the one approving will likely pay or is it the insurance?

But if the story holds true that it was offered then I am very much surprise. Really we don't offer that much for withdrawal, we offer good rates to keep it.

Intelligence is not wisdom

Intelligence is never a sign of wisdom. It is a gift from God to succeed in working out developments and technological innovations to help and alleviate the life of your community and of humankind. Math skills, problem solving, economic solutions and computer advancements are all intelligence. The beauty of living in a simple life filled with love and concern for the human being is what we call wisdom. Wisdom deals more on the spiritual level of the person. The advantage and the opportunity to understand life and deal with compassion and love to resolve war and conflict. That is wisdom. Intelligence resorts to retaliation and arms while wisdom resorts to understanding, compassion and peace.

Once can definitely exist without the other because they are different set of gifts given to man based on how they seek for the face of Jesus. Naturally you can tell the tree by the fruits it bear and you can tell a person by how he gives his idea and concept on things. Wisdom comes from conversations with God. One only gain it when he seek him with all his heart, body and soul.

A slice of life is a slice of faith. Everything that happens test our grip with our ancestors faith, our mother's faith and our very own faith. Sometimes one could be so lucky he will have all the pain in the world and all the bad things in life. And he begin to question God why? I for myself cannot understand why at some times in our life there could be so much hurt and so much pain. If we look deeper, everything happens for a reason. But most of the time we can't be that reasonable because it will be very difficult to endure everything. Remember that it is us all along. The Man with the mission

The Man with the mission has been working on it for the love of mankind. His mission is to direct souls and lead souls to the realm of his Father's kingdom for eternal happiness. The Man with the mission gathers his sheep and takes care of that sheep because of love. He is weary waiting for that invitation from us so he starts giving us the invitation. And what's more, suffering is a challenge for people who were given the invitation to experience and endure it. Why I said so? People who came out of the challenge came out to be stronger, mature, patient with all the good virtues in life, and best of all, inherit the wisdom that came from experiencing and enduring the challenge of sacrifice and pain. Inherit I say because wisdom is already there but it didn't work because there are specific requirements to make and that is enduring love, tears in pain, and the sacrifice to continue living with the gift of life God has given us. It works when we overcome all this and we gain the spirituality to see things the way we should all see it, in the eyes of compassion and care for humanity. The man with the mission completed his mission here on earth with great compassion. This is the only time I am telling you to be a great copycat of the Man with the mission. Do your day-to-day task with great love and compassion and you will see how these special ingredients can make you stronger to fulfill commitments.

what's the purpose of living?

I can't comprehend why some people have more than enough riches in this world and some have only their tears to accompany them in their hunger. I can't even say they didn't struggled hard or even worked hard to live that's why they didn't become rich. They did their time well and so am I. Today I have been sitting in my bedroom looking at the houses outside mine, if you can call it a house. They were more of a makeshift shacks. Life could be eluding at times. There are people who are quite favored by God. They lived a very comfortable life, more than comfortable I think. Sometimes I ask why there is such discrepancy in our values. I know that the ideal answer is effort, work and faith. This morning I just wake up and ask why after all the efforts I just can't live quite comfortably yet. Of course we have this feeling at times especially when everybody in the family is getting sick and me taking care of them even at dawn and myself getting sick with asthma also. Now thinking of the budget and all that goes to the medical bills, getting replenishment is quite difficult when I am sick also. Maybe I am just tired but I just can't help writing what I think. Life essence, people's sacrifices and God's glory is a matter of deep spirituality or else misunderstanding can lead one to rebellion against his love. This is why a lot of people are finding some sort of outlet for their depression like witchcraft and listening to fraud prophets. What's the purpose of living then?

A 66 year old Brazilian man saves grandson from the grip of a 16 foot long anaconda by beating the snake with rocks and a knife for about half an hour until it released the grandson.
